Technologies are rapidly evolving, and keeping the OPUS en ligne website operational in order to reload transit fares online would require major investments, in particular to ensure ongoing upgrades to the code.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this situation. Rest assured that we are making every effort to provide you with new, practical solutions that will make it easier for you to purchase transit fares as soon as possible.

All project partners are currently working together to develop new solutions to make it easier for you to purchase transit fares.

As of the first semester of 2024, transit users will have the option to purchase transport tickets using their NFC-enabled smartphone and load them directly onto their OPUS card.

This new sales channel will be added to the existing ones: fare vending machines, metropolitan ticket offices, transit agency service outlets and authorized retailers.

Greater Montréal area:

You can purchase your transit fares at several points of sale across the Greater Montréal area:

  • Metropolitan ticket offices
  • STM and REM networks
  • Exo sales and service outlets
  • Commuter train stations and some terminals
  • Some authorized retailers

It is also possible to sign up for an annual subscription. Four public transit subscription programs are offered in the Greater Montréal area: OPUS à l’année, OPUS+, OPUS+ entreprise and OPUS & Cie. Check with exo.

Greater Quebec City area

Use the Nomade paiement app or check with a transit agency to find the nearest points of sale:

You can buy MRC Joliette transit fares at the MRC Joliette terminal or at one of their points of sale..

Until the OPUS en ligne website closes, you can continue using your card reader to check the contents of your OPUS card. After that, you can check the contents of your OPUS card using one of the following options:

  • Using the Chrono mobile app
  • At a fare vending machine
  • By going to a metropolitan ticket office or a transit agency service outlet
  • By contacting a transit agency’s customer service
